Task 2 – blog post 5

This is my 5th blog this year. I have progressed a lot since my last blog. Every time I create a new blog I am learning several new skills in my I.T course.

Principles of computer networks

I really enjoy working on this unit. I have completed my task 1 to 6 and I have also completed one of the merit criteria’s. I have really progressed in my work a lot and I am enjoying learning new things in this unit. In my last blog I completed three tasks and in this blog I have completed all of my pass criteria and I am aiming for my merit criteria.

Computer systems

I really enjoy working on this unit. I have really progressed on my work since my last blog. In my last blog I had completed task 1 and 2 and now I have completed task all of my pass/merit criteria and I am working my way towards the distinction criteria. I hope to complete my distinction criteria by my next blog.

Principles of software design and development

I am really catching up to this lesson. I have been working on task 5 and 6 and I have nearly achieved my pass criteria for this unit. I hope that I complete my merit criteria by my next blog.

Advanced database skills

I do not really enjoy this lesson but I am trying my best to complete all of the work. Since my last blog I have completed task 1, 2 and 3 and I think that I am up to date with my database assignment. Hopefully by my next blog I should have completed task 5 and 6 for this unit. Since my last blog I have learnt a bit more for this unit and I hope my learning for this unit progresses.

Website production and management

I like this unit and I enjoy completing the work. Since my last blog I have completed my task 1 to 5 and I think that I have achieved my pass criteria. Hopefully I should have my merit completed for this unit. I have also created a site for this lesson and I am just touching it up now.
Key skills

I have completed most of my work for the key skills assignment 1 and I think that I am up to date with my work. If I try hard then I am sure that I can complete all of my work on time by my next blog. I have also nearly completed my key skills assignment 2; I just need to use some none ICT material for my work.

Communication and employability skills

This is one of the easiest units that I find working with in my course. I am very up to date with my coursework and I am hoping to get an excellent grade. I am just completing the last few words in some of my tasks then I will be done and dusted. Hopefully by next blog I should be working for the merit level and then gradually the distinction.

Task 2 – Blog post 3

This is my third blog this year. I have progressed a lot since my last blog. Every time I am writing a new blog I am learning several new skills in my I.T course.

I really enjoy this unit. I have completed task 1 and 2 and I have just made a start on task 3. I have progressed in my work a lot and I am enjoying learning new things in this lesson. Since my last blog I have got my tasks marked off and I am ready to complete task 3.

Computer systems

I really enjoy this unit. I have progressed in my course work since my last blog. In my last blog I had completed task 1 and 2 and now I have completed task 3 and working my way up to 4. I hope to get a excellent grade in this unit at the end of the year.

Principles of software design and development

I am catching up the rest of the lesson in this course work. I have been working on task 1 and I have completed task 1 and I have started task 2 and am working my way up. I hope to complete task 2 by my next blog.

Task 2 – Blog post 2

I have definitely learnt a lot since my last blog post which was in the middle of November. Every month I am learning several different new things in computing and all of this learning helps me a lot.

Principles of computer networks

I have finished task 1 and 2 and I am starting the third task for this unit. I just need to copy and paste all of my work into the actual assignment for my next networking assignment. I find this unit ok, If I concentrate more in this lesson then I always no what I have to do and if I get slightly distracted then I will fall off target.

Computer systems

I really enjoy this unit and I hope to get an excellent result at the end of the year for it. I have finished task 2 and I am going to start task 3 in my next lesson. My next four lessons are going to be in the first floor and I am going to be doing practical work.

Principles of software design and development

In this lesson I have completed task 1 and I have just started task 2. All I need to do is print it out and hand it in. I am doing well for this lesson up to now. I am going to work hard for this unit because I might be going in to this type of I.T in university.

Advanced database skills

This lesson isn’t one of my preferred lessons. I do not really enjoy it but I am going to commit myself in doing it passing it and completing all of my work. Since my last blog post I have learnt much more in this unit.

Website production and management

I like this unit and I have learnt a lot in this unit since my last blog post. I have nearly completed task 1 for this unit and I am going to make a start for this second task.

Key skills

I enjoy this unit and I am aiming to be ahead of my work by Christmas. I have learnt a lot in this unit since my last blog post and I am learning even more every week.

Communication and employability skills

I enjoy this unit and I am aiming for a distinction. I know that this lesson is really going to help me in the future because it involves all the information you need to find a job. Since my last blog I have completed around 4 tasks and I am working my way up.

Task 2- Blog Post 1

I am going to produce my first blog post. Each of the blog posts is going to contain the following:

• What I have learned – i.e. new knowledge or skills that I have gained
• How well I have learned and what effects my learning – e.g. subject, the teaching the motivation etc.
• How I could improve my performance or ability to learn
• How I have tried to improve my personal skills and personal qualities
• I am going to consider how I have worked to overcome any weaknesses identified in my personal SWOT analysis in task 2
• A reflection on your progress – what has gone well and what has note gone well

Principles of computer networks

I think that I am doing quite well in this unit. I understand what the principles of computer networks are. We have started the assignment and I have just completed task 1. I am aiming to get ahead in this unit so I do not struggle in the end of the year.

Computer systems

This is one of my favourite units. I have been working hard in this unit this year as well and I would love to get a distinction in this unit. I enjoy this lesson a lot because I like learning about the computer system it self.

Principles of software design and development

I like creating and designing programs but I have a problem with coding. I have tried my best to understand the coding but I find it a bit complicated. I am getting much better in this unit and I like making programs. I am aiming to get a merit for my work.

Advanced database skills

I find this lesson a bit boring. I have never created databases before and I am not doing so well in this lesson. I am going to try hard to pass this unit and get a good grade.

Website production and management

I like this lesson because of all the website designing. I think it is fun creating websites and adding features on to them. Websites are important because you use them everyday and you need to no what features you are going to use. I like creating websites on Dreamweaver but the html version of creating websites is not that easy. I just need to concentrate and understand the coding a bit more until I no what I am doing. Once I understand the layout then it will all be easier for me.

Key skills

I really enjoy this lesson and I am hoping to do well this year. It reminds me of some of the English lessons I used to have in my upper school because the work is kind of similar. We have to find and compare 15 different types of sports equipment and work out all the differences.

Communications and employability skills

I also enjoy this lesson. The only problem is that it is too late on a Friday and I feel a bit tired at that time of the day. The lesson it self is fun because what I am doing in my lessons will help you in the future.
